The new oral care product range is designed to reduce the risk of cross-infection and provide complete oral hygiene in the Intensive Care environment. Two product options are available: OroClean Complete, a complete system for oral care, and OroCare 2, a system that incorporates a mouthwash and allows cleaning and suctioning with a single device. Over the years we've been creating our own multimedia training content which means we've built up an extensive library of videos and animations that cover a wide spectrum of topics across the respiratory care field. Initially these were available on request as CDs or DVDs only, but with the advent of high-speed internet and improving web video formats we can now showcase this content over the web.

The 'Learn' section on this web site will grow, we'll be adding content on a regular basis, but we also have our own YouTube channel. This will allow you to share this content with your peers and colleagues, and use the videos on your own sites or blogs. We recently made a donation to the Royal Berkshire Hospital for the Buscot Ward. The unit specialises in the care of babies born prematurely. One recent case in particular was a baby Henry Fry who was born in the 27th week of pregnancy at the hospital. Henry, who is now about 8lb in weight received 15 weeks of treatment on Buscot Ward. Henry's parents have now started fund raising for the ward and hope to raise at least £6,000.

One in ten babies born at the hospital is treated on Busctot Ward, and last year over 600 babies were admitted.

About 7% of births in England and Wales are premature, or born before 37 weeks - with 0.5% born before 28 weeks, according to newborns charity 'Tommy's'.

One of the biggest challenges facing healthcare professionals on the frontline is the uncertainty of what you are going to face. Patients with respiratory infections have specific needs and yet pose a specific risk. Conventional oxygen masks can generate a plume of particles from their exhalation ports which can travel a distance of 0.4 metres resulting in a potential risk.
